Danish Church in Melbourne
Dansk kirkeliv i Australien har gamle rødder og det er over 125 år siden, at sønderjyske indvandrere dannede den første menighed i landet. I Melbourne er vi så priviligerede at kunne fornemme lidt af dette historiske sus, når vi samles i den smukke tidligere guvernørbolig, bygget i 1849, som den svenske kirke købte i 1956.
The Danish-Papua New Guinean Friendship Association
The Danish - Papua New Guinean Friendship Association, promotes intercultural understanding through public meetings and cultural exchanges between the two countries. We are committed to maintaining an atmos phere in which both cultures are equally important and able to learn from each other. The association was founded in 1997 and presently counts 4 local committees in PNG and 35 members in Denmark.

Australien har alt. Store, øde vidder - man kan køre i dagevis uden at se andet end rødt jord, vilde heste, kameler, emuer, kænguruer og græstotter. Fugtige regnskove med blanke bække der er umulige at se, før fødderne er blevet våde, strande med strålende hvidt sand så langt øjet rækker, bjerge fyldt med træer, buske og koalaer eller nøgne, bare klipper - runde og præget af alder.
Australsk New Zealandsk Venskabsforening i Danmark
For 30 år siden var en rejse til Australien og New Zealand for de fleste en uoverskuelig og økonomisk umulig rejse, og det var bl.a. baggrunden for, at Skandinavisk Australsk New Zealandsk Venskabsforening opstod. Foreningens formål er nu at medvirke til udbyggelsen af de sociale, kulturelle, historiske og erhvervsmæssige forbindelser mellem Australien /New Zealand og de skandinaviske lande.

Danish Australian Cultural Society (DACS)
Established in Melbourne in 1982 by a group of enthusiasts with love for Denmark. The Society consists of approx. 200 member families in and around Melbourne. We meet through activities organised by DACS. These activities include lectures, discussion groups, concerts and film evenings and social gatherings to sample Danish food. The activities are listed in a regular newsletter posted to all members
The Scandinavian Association of South Australia
The association, commonly known as SASA, was formed in 1982 through the merging of the Danish and Nordic clubs, both of which were mature entities, but each lacked resources due to their small size. The formation of the new club has given Scandinavians in South Australia the ability to achieve economies of scale in many areas.
