Wellington Scandinavian Club
In 1998, our club affiliated with the Scandinavian Club of Manawatu, and nowadays much of our clubs general administration (including maintaining contact through their newsletter, Skandia Quarterly) operates through them. However, we continue to hold separate functions and undertake separate activities in the Wellington area, as well as joining in with activities organised by them

Scandinavian Club of Manawatu
Palmerston North was New Zealands first Scandinavian settlement. It was the experiment that was planned to trigger further settlement by Scandinavian migrants to less hospitable parts of the country. Due to its location, Palmerston North was fated to become a city.
Our Club hopes that your visit will be informative and that those of you undertaking research will find something of interest to you.
